Still too much rain to really work in the garden, but there are always images to find!
Roy Jay's annual fund raiser for the non profit, Project Clean Slate, was held Saturday at the Portland Convention Center. Entertainment included "Hitsville" a Motown revue and Cher impersonator, Heidi Thompson, who not only encouraged many guests on stage to back her singing, but gave Beaverton Mayor, Denny Doyle, a wig and together they sang "I got you babe". I think it's fair to say, a good time was had by all!!
It's cold, but pretty!! A good 8 inches fell Friday, and then it got down to 4 degrees last night...
A couple of years ago, I was house-sitting for a friend in Brooklyn, NY- an amazing opportunity! During that time, I wandered everywhere with my camera, and happened upon the Mermaid Parade being held on Coney Island. What a photographic treat! More incredible to me was that Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson were the King Neptune and Queen Mermaid heading the parade. I thought I'd post a couple of those pictures for the man who always walked on the wild side!
